Meet Hobart Celebrant, Emma

Hi, I’m Emma (or Em), marriage celebrant, founder of The Tasmanian Wedding Directory, wife, mum of two (or 3 if you count Stella, our English Staffy), gym-goer, lover of black coffee, spicy margs, holidays, and deeply meaningful connection.

I’m based in nipaluna/Hobart but travel worldwide for my couples. All over Tassie, interstate, and even as far as New York City!

My vibe? Fun, relaxed, full of love, but absolutely organised (because the last thing you need on your wedding day is chaos).

Before I was deep in the world of weddings, I was living the dream running conferences and events across the country.

I met a celebrant at a function and thought - hang on, celebrants can be young, cool, and full of personality? I’d always assumed it was a retirement gig.

I was so inspired, I signed up for my Cert IV in Celebrancy and smashed it out in record time. I was registered in 2021 and have since had the honour of marrying hundreds of couples. I’ve never looked back.

I’m in love with weddings. Seriously, who else gets to go to work and be surrounded by so much love? How is this even a job? I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do and I don’t take it for granted for a second.

I’ve been told (more than once) that I make people feel instantly calm and completely seen. My job isn’t just to turn up and talk. It’s to support, to guide, and to help you feel like everything’s taken care of.

Whether I’m writing your ceremony from scratch or coaching your best mate to be your stand-in celebrant, you’ll always get my full support, attention to detail, creative brain, and hype girl energy.

I’m straight-talking but soft-hearted. Professional but never boring. Organised to the minute but relaxed in the moment.

And I’m here to help you have a ceremony that feels like you.
