Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes! I’m based in Hobart but will travel anywhere! Most of my packages include travel within 50km of Hobart - anything beyond that incurs a travel fee to cover time, fuel, flights, accommodation etc.
-
Once you’ve confirmed I am available and chosen your package, I’ll send through an electronic contract and invoice. A 25% non-refundable booking fee secures your date, with the balance due one month before the wedding.
-
The Works: Allow 30 minutes from start to finish in your run sheet.
The Middle: Allow 20 minutes from start to finish in your run sheet.
The Offsider: At your discretion but 30 minutes or under is the sweet spot.
The Legals: Literally 5 minutes is all it takes!
-
Absolutely. Every package (except the legals) includes a personal vow writing guide and I’m always here to help if you get stuck.
-
Yes! If you want to chat before you book I offer obligation-free FaceTime chats to see if we’re the right fit.
-
You’ll need to complete and lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before the ceremony. I’ll walk you through all the legal steps and make sure everything’s sweet. All packages include lodgement of your NOIM.
-
Yes! That’s exactly what The Offsider is for. I’ll support your chosen person with resources and a planning meeting, and I’ll be there on the day to take care of the legal words and signing.
-
My MC service is available as part of The Works + MC and The Middle + MC. I’ll meet with you in the lead up to chat through the reception detail and run sheet, and then on the day I’ll liaise with your vendors, introduce your speeches, dances, cake-cutting etc. I’ll keep everything running smoothly on the night, and bring the same relaxed, love-filled energy that I do to ceremonies.
-
It’s totally up to you! I always love to have a final logistics meeting to talk you through what’s happening in the ceremony and confirm any outstanding items, but you don’t need an onsite rehearsal, this meeting can always be done online. There will also be times that I may not be available for a rehearsal due to travel times, exisiting wedding bookings, or other reasons - in this instance, we will always have a final meeting online the week of, and I’ll send you through a detailed email with information for your rehearsal.

I recommend locking in your date as soon as you can, especially if you're planning a weekend or peak season wedding. I only take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure each couple gets my full energy and attention. It’s never too early to enquire.
-
In addition to lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage with me, I also need to sight some documents from you:
Passport or Birth Certificate and Photo ID
If either of you have been married before, I need evidence that the marriage has ended
Name change info if relevant

As long as your booking fee and final balance are paid by their due dates, you are welcome to make incremental payments along the way. You can do this by logging in to the client portal and paying by credit card or bank transfer.
